Setting Up Slack Notifications

With the Kantata OX app for Slack, you can receive notifications within Slack.

 Available in: Enterprise, Premier, Professional, Teams, and Free

Overview

With the Kantata OX app for Slack, you can receive notifications within Slack. You can set your notification settings so that you receive only the notifications you want in Slack.

How to Set Up Slack Notifications

  1. Select Notification Settings from the user Settings drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of the main app bar.

  2. Click Add to Slack.

  3. On the app permission page, click Allow. You’ll be returned to the Notification Settings page.

  4. In the Slack column of the notification settings tables, select the checkboxes associated with the notification you want to receive.

  5. Click Update Settings to save changes for that section.

NOTE

Depending on your Slack workspace’s permissions, someone may need to approve the app for your workspace. For more information, please see Slack documentation.

Only one Slack workspace can be connected to the entire Kantata OX account. All users in the account who set up Slack notifications must sign into the same Slack workspace.

Additionally, a Slack workspace can be connected to only one Kantata OX account. Users on the same Slack workspace cannot connect to Kantata users on different Kantata accounts.

How to Disable Slack Notifications

To disable Slack notifications for yourself, uncheck the Slack column for each notification type.

To disable Slack notifications for all users and remove the Kantata OX app from your Slack workspace, open the Kantata OX app page in Slack, and in the Configuration tab, select Remove App. For more information, please see Slack documentation.
