Creating Legacy Views in New Task Tracker

Overview 

The new Task Tracker allows you to create a customized view of filters, sort options, and custom columns that mirror the default views available in the legacy Task Tracker. You can save each customizable view for future use and easily switch between each one without having to re-apply the same filters.

Note: Saved views are member-specific and cannot be shared with other members. Each member will need to create their own views.

Create a Task Information View

  1. On the right side of the New Task Tracker, select Configure Columns from the Actions ("   ") menu.configure_columns.jpg
  2. In the Configure Columns modal, reconfigure the columns to the following order: Type, Title (required), Tags, Assignees, Status, Start, and Due.Task_Information_View_columns.png
  3. Click Save to create the view and close the Configure Columns modal.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click the Views drop-down menu, and select Save View As.
  5. In the Save New View window, enter a name in the View Name field and click Save. The view can now be accessed from the Views drop-down menu in the Task Tracker.task_information_Save_view.png

Create an Issue Tracking View

  1. On the right side of the New Task Tracker, select Configure Columns from the Actions ("   ") menu.configure_columns.jpg
  2. In the Configure Columns modal, reconfigure the columns to the following order: Type, Title (required), Tags, Assignees, Status, Start, and Due.

  3. Click Save to create the view and close the Configure Columns modal.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click Filters to open the Select filters modal.newtasktracker_filters.png
  5. In the Fields section, select Type.
  6. In the Type section that appears, select Issue.newtasktracker_select_filters.png
  7. Click Apply Filters. The Select Filters modal closes.
  8. On the left side of the screen, click the Views drop-down menu, and select Save View As.save_view_as_new_task_tracker.png
  9. In the Save New View window, enter a name in the View Name field and click Save. The view can now be accessed from the Views drop-down menu in the Task Tracker.saveviewas_issue_tracking.png

Create a Task Progress View

  1. On the right side of the New Task Tracker, select Configure Columns from the Actions ("   ") menu.configure_columns.jpg
  2. In the Configure Columns modal, reconfigure the columns to the following order: Type, Title (required), Tags, Assignees, Status, % Done, Billable Hours, Est Hours, Start, and Due.Task_Progress_view_columns.png
  3. Click Save to create the view and close the Configure Columns modal.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click the Views drop-down menu, and select Save View As.
  5. In the Save New View window, enter a name in the View Name field and click Save. The view can now be accessed from the Views drop-down menu in the Task Tracker.task_progress_newtasktracker.png

Create a Task Finances View

  1. On the right side of the New Task Tracker, select Configure Columns from the Actions ("   ") menu.configure_columns.jpg
  2. In the Configure Columns modal, reconfigure the columns to the following order: Type, Title (required), Assignees, Status, Actual Fees, Budget, Invoiced, Est. Hours, and Due.Task_Finances_View_columns_copy.png
  3. Click Save to create the view and close the Configure Columns modal.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click the Views drop-down menu, and select Save View As.
  5. In the Save New View window, enter a name in the View Name field and click Save. The view can now be accessed from the Views drop-down menu in the Task Tracker.task_finances_save_new_view.png

Create a Resource Scheduling View

  1. On the right side of the New Task Tracker, select Configure Columns from the Actions ("   ") menu.configure_columns.jpg
  2. In the Configure Columns modal, reconfigure the columns to the following order: Type, Title (required), Est. Hours, Budget, Start, Due, and Assignees.Resource_Scheduling_View_columns.png
  3. Click Save to create the view and close the Configure Columns modal.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click the Views drop-down menu, and select Save View As.
  5. In the Save New View window, enter a name in the View Name field and click Save. The view can now be accessed from the Views drop-down menu in the Task Tracker. save_view_resource_scheduling.png
